The purpose of the "Communications" module is to facilitate access to and management of relevant information for employees, promoting effective internal communication and providing a centralized channel for distributing news, events, and resources within the organization.

The "Communications" module allows users to access a portal designed to provide information quickly and easily. It offers features such as management of Quick Actions, Publications, and Covers, as well as viewing Birthday dates. Users can create, edit, and manage these elements to improve information dissemination and keep employees informed and engaged. Additionally, note that the customization options for Quick Actions and their current visualizations are not configurable at this time, and multimedia files (images and videos) have maximum size restrictions to maintain platform efficiency.

This operates within the framework of the organization's internal policies and regulations, where information sharing depends entirely on the company. Buk provides the platform so employees feel part of an organization through a portal organized by sections to make it dynamic and orderly.

Portal Settings

This portal can be configured so the administrator can limit or show which elements they want to share with their employees; these settings are made from Organizational Development > Communications > Settings. Within the settings, in the Portal section, the following module settings can be managed:

• Filter for the feed you want to see by default on the portal
  Here you can select what willbe displayed on the portal: publications, recognitions, birthdays, or all.This means that when employees log in, they will automatically see the selected filter.
   

• Birthday settings
  - Filter birthdays: Here you choose whether to segregate the display of birthdays by company, division, area, or sub-area, or show all.
  - Show on the portal: Defines whether you want to show birthdays on the portal.
  - Show calendar access widget on the portal: Defines whether you want to show the list of the month's birthdays in the portal widget.
   

• Publication settings:Defines whether publications should be shown on the portal.

• Pending Tasks settings:Defines whether pending tasks should be shown on the portal.

Communications Portal Items

This portal isdesigned so you can give your employees access to information quickly and simply. This portal is mainly composed of 5 elements:

- Publications
-Covers
-Quick Actions
-Shortcuts
-Birthdays

To segment visibility, advanced filters must be used when creating quick actions or publications, adding specific conditions (such as area, site, name, etc.). To add more than one value, use the 'OR' option and add the desired variable again. Also, to display lists, it is necessary to add a condition and then select the corresponding attribute.

For example, when creating aPublicationwithin Organizational Development > Portal > Publications > Create Publication, you can set various filters as needed.
